TET versus Acadmic Marks for Selection of Teacher

Qualifying marks
(9). A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass. School managements (Government, local bodies, government aided and unaided)
(a) may consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy;
(b) should give weightage to the TET scores in the recruitment process; however, qualifying the TET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

NCTE Clearl specified weightage of TET Marks in selection of teachers for RTE.
Earlier I see many comments in favour of Acadmic marks (I am not against acadmic OR TET), But I have not seen in Highcourt verdict favouring acadmic marks, not in the rules of UP Edu. Niyamavali which was changed before UPTET, not in NCTE notification.
However common exam ( If, multiple stage then it is more fair to select right candidates) is a good process to provide fair opportunity to all.
If Acadmic marks includes then it should be properly scaled ( it is very very tough to make scaling for each university, board therfore COMMON Exam is good approach) and weightage should be lower to eliminate anything biased against candidates.
Yes, you are 100% right.. Kyuki aaj hum dekh rahe h ki academic marks ka level badhta hi ja raha h, 2002 ke board topper aur 2012 ke topper ke marks ka comparison kare to ye clear dikhai deta h. Agar koi vacancy sirf academic marks ke aadhar par nikalti h, to sirf unhi logo ko mauka milta h, jinke good marks ho, par agar selection kisi competition exam se hota h, to sabhi ko mauka milta h, dusri taraf tet ke against logo se ye bat puchhni chahiye ki kya unhe tet me achhe marks lane se kisi ne roka tha? I donot want to hurt anybody. Yadi academic merit itni hi achhi hoti to IAS, IPS, PCS ka selection bhi sirf aise hi kiya jata. Par sach kya h, wo hum sab jante h. Uptet ke through selection ek achhi suruaat h, hame iska swagat karna chahiye.
