TET Exam and Selection Process


When I was checking weightage (Weightage etc.how much will be in the hands of Selection Authority) of TET marks in selection of different states, I found following -

I think TET may be different from TAT. This TAT is for Head Masters and teachers etc. and can not compare TET(RTE / NCTE)

3. Method of Recruitment: The Recruitment shall be through a selection process. The selection shall be based on the merit list prepared against 100 marks for each candidate.
(a) Out of 100 marks 20% shall be for the marks secured in APTET
               Paper –I & II (as the case may be) proportionately (For example:)
(1) if a candidate secured 150 marks out of 150 he/she will be given weightage as 20 marks.
(2) if a candidate secured 100 marks out of 150 he/she will be given weightage as 13.33 Marks.

However recently it is heard TET is a qualifying exam (News for Himacaha TET exam), And in Tamilnadu (TNTET ) also some people made writ petition that TET is eligibility exam and can not be used for selection.

As per NCTE guideline , I felt TET marks weightage etc. for selection process in the hands of appropriate authority / STATE Govt., And pass in TET not confers right for selection. (It is my personal interpretation)
i.e How much weighatge of TET can be used in selection is in the hands of appropriate selection authority/competent authority.
